This project was to design an Mental Health Facility and work with a group. We began by researching our demographic, first responders and military personnel. For our design we chose to use a log cabin as our concept. This is because we wanted to create a comfortable and welcoming space for first responders, military personnel and their families to come together and get the services they need. Like a log cabin the space will connect people within overlapping professions of the responder/military community and help one another heal. Our space will be a relaxing space with natural wood and earthy elements to represent a log cabin environment.
